Another L.A. walk song. Probably the best chorus I've ever written. I always had the stomp intro in mind. Lian really nailed the chorus vocal. So strong. Playing this song on an acoustic guitar in the front of a choir and having them sing it back brought tears to my eyes. -Burke

Enemies
V1-
Overbooked, no time...
caused every crooked line on my face
as we rust and grind
It causes us to pick up the pace
pre-
there's only one way to go
CH-
One of these days can we learn to stick together
we're not enemies, enemies
keep it contained
Can we try to make this better
wo oo wo oo wo oo wo
can't you see we're not enemies
stay home
V2-
3 words
Never sinking into our brains
and the space between causes doubt to flow through our veins
Pre-
our storms grow violent with years
wipe clean, let's pull down the sky
CH-
Bridge-
We did this all wrong
We did this all wrong
We did this all wrong
We did this all wrong
We've been hurt so long
Turbulence, Shaking, Climb for smoother air
CH-
+Pull through these days gotta keep this pack together
we're not enemies, enemies
